No.253 Green Ireland Tweed - Floral Woody Musk Men's

£24.00
Bottle Size

Oh, the Emerald Isle! The rolling green hills, the leprechauns, the pots of gold at the end of the rainbow, the Celtic folk songs... and Green Ireland Tweed! This fragrance was designed to represent the smell of the magnificent country that is Ireland. It's fresh, vibrant and grassy, with an initial opening of lemon verbena and iris blending in with grassy violet leaf in the heart. It smells like a walk in the countryside wearing a tweed jacket and smoking a pipe. The green middle and opening are backed up by sandalwood and amber in the base, lending a soft masculinity and smokiness to the fragrance. It suits a slightly more mature gentleman and anyone who wants to smell fresh.

A great classic scent for a more sophisticated, mature gentleman. Good for summer and outdoors use. Projection starts off good but I've found longevity to just be moderate. Still excellent value for money, though!

Lovely scent. Pretty much bang on the original. However, it doesn't last as long. I assume that this is because Eden's ethical version does not lock in fresh scents with Ambergris, which is in the original. Still if you don't want animal products...

I assume that this is because Eden's ethical version does not lock in fresh scents with Ambergris, which is in the original. Still if you don't want animal products in your perfume, then this is a small sacrifice. Still excellent value for money.

I have mixed feelings about this one, the lemon verbena seems to dominate the perfume from the begging to the end of the drydown.

I'll start by saying most, if not all, of the other interpretations of designer fragrances from Eden are amazing and spot on. However, I was disappointed in Eden's version of GIT by Creed. This one lacks the brightness and freshness from the original. It's a bit darker, likely from swapping ambergris for amber. Still a pleasant scent, but they set the bar pretty high with the others, and this one doesn't live up to the rest. This was going to be my spring fragrance, but I would recommend 255, 248, 157 (better than original), 243, 262, and 103 as better spring options.

After reading previous reviews, I was a bit wary of getting a full bottle, so I ordered a sample first. Well, I am happy I did. To be fair, the first few minutes were a total disappointment - at least to my nose. The smell reminded me of a cheap public restroom hand soap. Once the perfume settled in, however, it was an altogether different fragrance! Confidence, optimism, and even the spirit of adventure - this is what this fragrance evokes in me now. Beautiful! And, happily, on my skin it lasts for over 10 hours. Will I be getting a full bottle now? Absolutely!

I've not had the chance to smell the original Creed GIT therefore I can't speak to any comparison. To me, this smells overall clean and classy. I did know to start off with that this was based on Green Irish Tweed, and it may have been that which made me think of an antique leather wing chair with a refined gentleman and a study. A green, non-medicinal soap smell is the overriding feeling here, with a woody depth as it dries down. It's fresh but not off-putting in any way. There isn't one particular aromatic that stands out to me, but it feels refined. After a 10 hour shift, I could still pick up wafts of it from my clothes and skin, but the projection did fade after 3-4 hours.
